Our store brings to you many brands and styles from Asia, therefore the sizes are a little bit different to what you would encounter on our UK high street. Every shop here in the UK has their own styles and sizing and we are no different but we know that general rules when shopping are a size small is about a UK 10-12, this is not always the case at Cuteskink. Because all of our ranges are made for the Asia markets and women are much dinkier we have created this page to help you choose the right sizes for you. A lot of our ranges have just one size, this is because they are only made in one size and often freesize.
On each product we have tables looking like:
These tables are here to help you measure yourself against each garment and relevant boxes will be filled out depending on whether a skirt or a top or a dress etc. These are exact manufacturer specified measurements and to be extra sure we have double checked them too. We do not want unhappy customers or returns so please use these tables before your purchase.
When a table states a banded measurement that is because the fabric or sytle has stretch ie 60-84cm waist, will often mean elasticated or adjustable waist. 60cm being without stretch and 84cm the full stretch
To measure yourself use this guide below if you do not know your measurements already and use a fabric measuring tape to do this:
A: Chest: Measure the circumference of your chest. Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust, wrap it around (under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and back to the front) to get the measurement.
B: Waist: Measure the circumference of your waist. Use the tape to circle your waist (sort of like a belt would) at your natural waistline, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage. (If you bend to the side, the crease that forms is your natural waistline.) Don’t suck in your stomach, or you’ll get a false measurement. If you generally wear your clothes below your waist, take that measurement as well.
C: Hips: Measure the circumference of your hips. Start at one hip and wrap the tape measure around your rear, around the other hip, and back to where you started. Make sure the tape is over the largest part of your bottom. Because making sure the tape is level back there can be hard, try to do it in front of a mirror.
D: Inseam: This is the distance from the uppermost inner part of your thigh to the bottom of your ankle. You can measure your inseam in two ways.
With help: While you’re wearing a pair of trouser, have a friend stretch the tape from your crotch to the bottom of your ankle.
Without help: If you have a pair of trouserss that fit you perfectly (and they shouldn’t be too loose around the waist), measure the inseam of the trousers, again from the crotch to the hem.
E: Thigh: Measure the circumference of the fullest part of your thigh. Wrap the tape measure around your thigh from front to back and then around to the front. You may be tempted to cheat by lowering the tape measure a few inches, but then you won’t get an accurate measurement.
F: Sleeve length: Get help for this one because it’s hard to do yourself. Place your hand at your waist (your elbow should be bent at a 90-degree angle). Then start at the middle of the back of your neck and measure to your shoulder, down your arm to the elbow, and then on to the wrist.
Once you have your measurements write them down for future use when buying online on any webstore. It actually sounds much more grief than it is and should only take a few minutes. ^_^
As you will browse our site and get a feel for what we sell, you will see that Cutesykink is about bringing Asian clothing with their quirky sizes here to the UK. Don't be afraid to buy, we have 100s of happy customers. Unforunately we do not accomadate larger sizing - 16 or above on the whole at this time, maybe plus sizes is something we will think about in the future if there is a big enough demand.
Freesize you may see the around on CutesyKink. This refers to garment that is more flexible and is often a skirt or T shirt. It will have stretch or a elesticated waist
Sizes: Small, Meduim and Large are different to UK standard size charts they are Asian sizes which often run smaller so please refer to each garment size table for guidance. And they differ with each brand and style we stock. There is no set rule so measuring or knowing measurements is essential for best fit.
Charts: the sizes given are exact measurements of the garment not your body parts, so please allow some room to move or for undergarments if applicable, e.g a coat would normally be worn with undergarments.
LASTLY!!! if in doubt call Cutesykink or email..........we will check everything for you and happy to help
We want happy ^_^ customers who love their purchases ...
